Big thanks to everyone who helped us get the first container of relief supplies filled and on the way. Volunteers loaded a truck on Saturday, Feb 27th at a warehouse in Sun Prairie. Then Sunday AM, two wonderful volunteers made the 24+ hour drive to Palm Beach County Florida where they off-loaded the contents on to a container bound for St Marc, Haiti.
The container is due to arrive around March 20th and should be through customs by the time the YWAM Madison Haiti Outreach Team arrives there on March 28th. This first container contained:
Over 2,000 pounds of food
Over 900 pounds of medical supplies
Over 250 pounds of baby formula
Over 800 pounds of bedding
A generator, medical exam tables, construction materials, housewares, office & school supplies, personal care items & more!
Thanks again to everyone who prayed, donated money, materials or time to make this possible. We hope to have additional pictures of the arrival of the container in Haiti and possibly some of the distribution of some of the items. So please check the Website periodically for updates.
